"If plan A doesn't work, the alphabet has 25 more letters — 204 if you're in Japan." — Claire Cook

The Reunion will now take place in Winnipeg at the Hilton Winnipeg Airport Suites, May 24-26, 2022.

More details will follow in the upcoming months.

Finally, we have been updating the names of the attendees on the Reunion Picture pages. Please take a look and let us know if you know any of the “Unknown” ladies, or if we have misspelled your name. Thank you.

Due to lack of entries, we are closing the Members Corner page. All comments and requests will now go in this section.

Viktoria Spearman writes of an embarrassing moment.

Us gals were allowed to go across to the air field side because we of course were air traffic controllers.  A pilot said to me, “You have never been in an airplane, well I will take you up,”  It was a small plane with one seat in front and one in back .  He kept looking at me in the mirror, as he did different maneuvers.  Every time he asked me if I was ok, I said I loved it and I could stay up here forever.  However,  when I landed, everything I ever owned came up.  It was embarrassing as the entire ground crew was there to watch., I guess maybe that’s why he kept asking me if I was ok. This was in 1944 in Trenton Ontario. Viktoria

Flo Reid writes, "Thought you might like an update on our postage stamp collecting.  Since
July of 2019, I have collected 10,044 stamps which I will be mailing to
Oxfam in Ottawa shortly.  One of our Calgary ex-RCAF member recently
donated over 6,000  stamps which increased our total significantly.  As
our next reunion will now take place in 2022, this will be a lot of
stamps to process at that time.  Would help me out if you could mail
your stamps to me every now and then.  E-mail me and I will give you my
address:  Thanks for your help in this worthwhile

As was mentioned at Reunion 14, these types of careers are possible because of your pioneering service!

1.  Lori Hand sent a link to a story "Alberta woman takes command of Canadian Forces flying school”, and writes:
"Forwarding this Calgary Herald link for you to read & pass on if you
like.  Lt.-Col. Riel Erickson is the daughter of Donna Kendall, my
friend.  Knowing her mother, it is not surprising that her daughter is a
trail blazer!  Congratulations to proud parents, Donna and Lloyd.

When I asked Donna if I could forward her message her reply was, “You
send it wherever.  Young women need to be inspired and helped to believe
they can do anything.

Please continue to support and inspire the young women in your life."

2.  Lieutenant-Colonel Lisa Baspaly-Hays, Commander of 9 Wing Gander, receives the United States’ Defense Meritorious Service Medal "for her distinguished service as Intelligence Manager and Deputy Chief, Directorate of Intelligence, while at North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Headquarters from June 2017 to June 2019."  To read the article click here. We are interested in your stories! If you (or any of the ladies you know) have had articles written about you, no matter how minor, please let us know. Maybe you have an experience that you believe should have been published. Reply here
